Husky Production Logo's

Husky Productions

This is the still image of the institutional logo that I have created, this is a picture of a husky in black and white, this gives the image a more huskier feeling and tone to the picture. This logo also helps identify the genre we are also making. There is a sense of mystery and grief in 'Remorse', this is shown through this logo.

This is an animated version of my logo. I have created an animated logo due to Husky Productions being a mainstream production company. Mainstream companies like Husky Productions usually have animated logo that appears on their films. this will appear at the beginning of 'Remorse'.

Institiutional Logo

Universal

Universal is a subsidiary of NBC Universal. Their logo represents their mass distribution efforts around the world. This logo also appears to show the fact that Universal is an institution that is out of this world, shown through the fact that the word's Universal is shown floating in front of the world and in space. The letters are also written in  Silver and Gold colours, which may connote their success and wealth. Universal has also created an animated version of their logo, this includes sound. The sound gives it a royal tone to the animation, suggests that they see themselves as the best production company compared to all the rest.

Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. is a subsidiary of News Corporation. Their logo shows a blue and golden shield, the gold represents how wealthy, as well as how powerful and strong the institution is, where the blue connotes their royalty within the film institution.
Warner Bros. have also created an animated logo. This logo shows their studios which makes up the shield, this reinforces the fact that their studio's brings them their strength and without them, they wouldn't be where they are today.

DreamWorks

DreamWorks was created by Steven Spielberg,  Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen in 1994, they own 72% of this now. This forms the SKG embedded in the DreamWorks logo. The logo represents that the company creates it's audiences dream, meaning the best, films. This suggests that they fish through their audiences dreams and know what they want wants.
DreamWorks have also made an animated logo. This logo includes audio, this also reinforces the dream like structure that they represent.

These are all mainstream institutions, as Husky Productions is a mainstream production company, it means that we will ensure that we have a logo that represents our company but also the fact that we are a  mainstream institution, therefore we shall include sound and a form of animation in our logo.

Film4

Film4 is a British independent production company, it is owned by the Channel Four Television Corporation. Their logo is simple yet bright, this captures the audience's attention.
This is Film4's animated logo, as you can see it is very basic and doesn't contain animation, instead just light, blocks and a camera. It also doesn't include any audio.

Working Title

Working Title a subsidiary of Universal and Magnolia pictures. Their logo suggests that they are always working around the clock to produce the best films that appeal to their audience.
Working Title's animated logo reinforces my point above. The logo although, like Film4 doesn't have any audio.

These two production companies are independent productions this is shown through the lack of elaborate animation and audio.

Type of Production Company

The type of production company that Husky Productions will be is a mainstream one, this is because they are more associated with the type of genre that we are going to make for our film opening.
By being a mainstream production company also have a larger budget, this means that we can invest more in casting but also marketing of our film due to the disposable money.

Audience Attraction

My target audience will be attracted to my film because we will follow the generic conventions of the drama  genre. Husky Productions will ensure we stick to the traditional iconography and conventions of the genre to ensure that our target audiences watched our film.

Audience and Genre

Drama was one of the earliest forms of entertainment.
The audience that watch the drama genre are both males and females, however this is also determined by the different sub genres. Female audience members usually watch romantic dramas, however, male audience members are most likely to watch a crime drama. This is generally because crime drama usually involves a lot of action, plot twists and betrayal of some sort. Most crime drama viewers are also in their late teens to early thirties.
